Cinnamon

Our cinnamon trees were inviting on hot days in the field; their leaves afforded shade and pleasant calming fragrance. But our little acres push us on to remember that we must use every agricultural resource wisely. To grow cinnamon, the tree must come down and then harvest the suckers (growth from the root system) and water sprouts (growth from the truck). These then are dissected and the bark dried in the sun from which we derive cinnamon sticks.
