Liliko'i

Liliko'i (Passion Fruit) grows everywhere at the Hermitage. What might ordinarily be dismissed as a "garbage tree," such as a Christmas berry, suddenly has value as it becomes a broad scaffolding for this robust and abundant vine. We might easily have named our compound "Liliko'i Hermitage" as we see it everywhere. A tunnel through the ever-present Liliko'i serves as the entrance into our website.

Liliko'i is highly prized in Hawai'i and can be found at parties in the cake icing, in the salad dressing, in the "Liliko'i butter," and even in the local brew beers.
